Comments:
The tumor is composed of plump spindle cells with round or oval vesicular nuclei. The tumor cells show storiform growth pattern and are separated by hyalinized collagen bundles.

Despite their relatively bland appearance, low-grade metaplastic spindle cells carcinomas (fibromatosis-like) are malignant tumors with potential for local recurrence and distant metastasis.
