Pineoblastoma : Synaptophysin

Pineal parenchymal tumors show immunoreactivity for a variety of neuroendocrine markers such as neurofilament, synaptophysin (shown here), neuron-specific enolase, chromogranin, and CD56. The immunoreactivity in pineoblastomas is variable, heterogenous, and may even be absent.
