Comments:
Alcoholic steatohepatitis comprises steatosis with associated inflammation and fibrosis. The inflammatory infiltrate contains neutrophils and lymphocytes; unlike other forms of hepatitis, plasma cells and eosinophils are rare. The neutrophils infiltrate the parenchyma, as seen here, and often surround ballooned hepatocytes. The lymphocytes are predominantly CD4+ or CD8+ T-cells and are present in areas of steatohepatitis and in portal tracts. Image Copyright: pathorama.ch.
