Comments:
Higher magnification of the previous image. Other primary sites/tumors from which metastases to urinary bladder can occur include melanoma, breast, kidney, lung, uterus, and stomach. Metastatic deposits in the urinary bladder are often submucosal leaving an intact urothelial lining. They may be entirely based in muscularis propria. Multifocal vascular invasion is a frequent finding. When metastases are suspected, correlation with radiologic and clinical findings is vital.
