Higher magnification of the previous image. The tumor has a predominant inverted growth pattern and inverted papilloma is in the differential diagnosis. However, the presence of cytologic atypia, unequivocal lamina propria invasion, and the absence of regular nests with peripheral palisading favor carcinoma over papilloma.
