Comments:
This is an example of urothelial carcinoma with inverted growth pattern. The surface urothelium appears intact in this field. The tumor consists of haphazardly arranged cords and nests of cells infiltrating the lamina propria. There is variable amount of stroma between the cell clusters which show moderate degree of cytologic atypia. The orderly arranged trabeculae and cell columns of inverted papilloma with peripheral palisading are absent here.
