Comments:
This is a case of synovial sarcoma with an unusual pseudonested pattern. The tumor was positive for CD99, BCL2 and CD56 and showed weak patchy staining for synaptophysin. CD34 stained sinusoidal vascular spaces surrounding tumor cell nests. WT-1 was negative. TLE-1 was not done; however, the tumor had t(X;18) translocation, confirming the diagnosis of synovial sarcoma.
