Differential Diagnosis of Myolipoma: It includes other soft tissue tumors with an admixture of adipose tissue and spindle cells and is discussed over the next several images.

Spindle Cell Lipoma: Unlike myolipoma, it does not occur in deep locations such as retroperitoneum/pelvis/abdomen but is usually found in the subcutaneous tissues of neck, shoulder, and back. There is male predominance. The tumor cells express CD34 but are negative for smooth muscle markers. (continued in the next image)
