Type B3 Thymoma : Spindle pattern

Type B3 thymomas may show spindling of tumor cells (as seen here focally). The tumor was widely invasive and infiltrated into the mediastinal fat – a feature commonly observed in type B3 thymomas. Note the paucity of lymphocytes.
