Comments:
The histogenesis of solid pseudopapillary tumor of pancreas is unknown and it expresses a variety of epithelial, mesenchymal, and neuroendocrine markers as follows:

POSITIVE: Keratin (focally positive; 30-70% of cases), synaptophysin (focally positive), CD56 (focally positive), NSE (shown here), CD10, progesterone receptor, CD99 (dot-like positivity), CD117 (but no KIT mutation), cyclin D1, claudin-5, claudin-7, α1 antitrypsin, α1 anti-chymotrypsin, and vimentin.

NEGATIVE: chromogranin, estrogen receptor, trypsin, and chymotrypsin.
