Comments:
Higher magnification view of the previous image showing solid nests and tubular structures of basaloid cells with a hint of peripheral palisading. The intervening stroma is hyalinized. Most basal cell carcinomas of the prostate involve the transition zone and usually present in older men with urinary obstruction. Given their location, they are usually detected in transurethral resection specimens.
