Comments:
At intermediate power, fetal epithelial-type hepatoblastomas frequently show a “light-and-dark” herringbone pattern due to admixed glycogenated (clear) and eosinophilic hepatocytes. The tumor cells are slightly smaller than adult liver cells. Extramedullary hematopoiesis is common and mitotic activity is rare.
