Comments:
Typical goblet cell carcinoid (GCC), group A showing well-defined clusters of epithelial cells with large mucin vacuoles infiltrating the muscular wall. The displacement of nuclei creates resemblance to goblet cells or nests of signet ring cells. The cytologic atypia is minimal and there is no desmoplastic response. The tumor clusters are surrounded by acute inflammatory cells. The patient presented with acute appendicitis.
