Xanthoma of the prostate is usually an incidental finding in needle biopsies or transurethral resection specimens. Rare cases are seen in the setting of hyperlipidemia. The lesion is composed of lipid-laden macrophages and is usually circumscribed, although it may occasionally have infiltrative appearance as seen here.
