High-grade PIN

Higher magnification showing close association of prostate cancer to high-grade PIN. Prostates with cancer show greater incidence of high-grade PIN and there is also an increase in the size and number of high-grade PIN foci in such glands. High-grade PIN is found more frequently in the peripheral zone which is also the location for most prostate cancers. The evidence linking high-grade PIN to transition zone cancers is not as strong.
