Comments:
Schaumann Bodies: Many sarcoid granulomas contain multinucleated Langhans giant cells formed by fusion of epithelioid histiocytes. The giant cells may show inclusions such as asteroid bodies, Schaumann bodies (shown here), and calcium oxalate crystals in their cytoplasm. These features are not specific for sarcoidosis.

Schaumann bodies contain protein, calcium and iron and have a concentric lamellar structure.
