Comments:
Lymph Node in Secondary Syphilis: The patient is a 25 y/o male with secondary syphilis who presented with bilateral inguinal and left axillary lymphadenopathy of about 5 weeks’ duration and a generalized skin rash. Sections of one of the removed lymph nodes reveal striking hyperplasia of the lymphoid follicles. The lymph node capsule is expanded by chronic inflammation and fibrosis.
