Comments:
Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS) - Microscopic Features: ARMS is composed of irregular aggregates of poorly-differentiated round or oval tumor cells surrounded by hyalinized fibrous septa containing dilated blood vessels.

In some cases, extensive necrosis and degeneration leads to near total absence of viable cells and leaves behind a sieve-like network of hyalinized fibrous trabeculae with vascular cores. The trabeculae are lined by a single layer of tumor cells and surrounded by necrotic cellular debris.
