Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans

Comments:
Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans resected from the shoulder of a 40 y/o male. The tumor measured 6.5 cm in greatest dimension and was located in the subcutis. The cut surface is homogenous and pink-tan in appearance. Hemorrhage and cystic change may be occasionally seen, but necrosis is rare in DFSP.
