Comments:
This 25 y/o male presented with a swelling on the medial aspect of his lower right thigh. Plain films showed a pedunculated osteochondroma at the lower end of the femur. Pedunculated osteochondromas often point away from the nearest joint as seen in this image. The continuity of the cortex and medullary cavity of the lesion with that of the parent bone was clearly demonstrated on the MRI. Case produced with permission, courtesy of Dr. Frank Gaillard. Radiopaedia. Complete case is here.
