Higher magnification of the dedifferentiated tumor showing a high-grade spindle cell sarcoma. The dedifferentiated component may show an osteosarcoma, fibrosarcoma, malignant fibrous histiocytoma, or rarer subtypes including angiosarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma. In some cases, the appearance of the dedifferentiated tumor may even mimic metastatic carcinoma.
