Angiomatous Meningioma

Vascularity in angiomatous meningiomas varies from tumor to tumor. In this image, smaller, capillary-sized vessels are surrounded by foamy looking tumor cells exhibiting degenerative nuclear atypia. The differential diagnosis is hemangioblastoma. Other angiomatous meningiomas harbor larger vessels with markedly hyalinized walls.
