Comments:
The chondrocytes lie in lacunae and have small, round, regular nuclei. They are arranged singly or in small clusters with intervening blue myxoid matrix. Chondromas involving small bones of hands (shown in this image) and feet show higher cellularity and moderate degree of cytologic atypia than those arising in larger bones. These features can be ignored if the radiographic appearance is that of a benign lesion.
