Comments:
The glands are lined by tall columnar cells distended with mucin. The nuclei are small, hyperchromatic, basally located and lack prominent nucleoli. The cytoplasmic contents are PAS+ve-diastase resistant and stain with Alcian blue and mucicarmine. The differential diagnosis is with Cowper’s glands and adenocarcinoma.
