Comments:
The atrophic glands have scant cytoplasm and hyperchromatic nuclei with occasional punctate nucleoli. The basal cell layer is fragmented but still present as confirmed by high molecular weight cytokeratin immunostain (next slide).   return to Prostate : Atrophy
