Multinodular Goiter

Some of the large dilated follicles in a multinodular goiter may have a cluster of small active follicles at one pole. They are referred to as Sanderson polsters. Some multinodular goiters may have a dominant nodule which may be difficult to distinguish from follicular adenoma.
