Comments:
Ampullary Adenocarcinoma - Case History: The patient was a 65 y/o female who presented with jaundice, weight loss, and right upper quadrant and epigastric pain of 2 months' duration. Imaging studies showed an ampullary/periampullary tumor and she underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy (Whipple Procedure). The final diagnosis was moderately-differentiated adenocarcinoma of the ampulla.

The specimen consists of a distended gall bladder measuring 11 cm in length and 5 cm in greatest diameter; 2nd part of duodenum measuring 14 cm in length; and a 3-4 cm segment of the head of pancreas.
