Comments:
Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) - Morphology: Classic pulmonary LCH is characterized by multiple, compact nodular interstitial infiltrates in the peribronchiolar region. The infiltrates are usually stellate shaped and variably cellular. Early lesions are more cellular, whereas long-standing lesions can be extensively fibrotic and indistinguishable from other fibrosing cystic diseases of the lung. The stellate fibrotic lesion in this image is surrounded by traction emphysema.
