Myeloma Kidney : Congo Red

Comments:
Amyloidosis of AL type involving kidney in a patient with multiple myeloma. Congo Red stain shows salmon-pink deposits in the mesangium as well as tubulointerstitium. Under polarized light, these deposits show apple-green birefringence.
