Clear Cell Sarcoma of Kidney
In its classic form, the clear cell sarcoma of kidney (CCSK) consists of nests, cords, and sheets of somewhat monomorphic tumor cells with a high nucleus:cytoplasmic ratio. This particular focus lacks the delicate branching vascular network seen in a typical case. The clear cell appearance (caused by intercellular clear mucoid matrix) is also lacking here. Such cases need to be distinguished from blastema-predominant Wilms tumor.
