Topic: Mixed Epithelial-Mesenchymal Tumors

Category: Uterus

Comments:
When at least 25% of the stromal component consists of pure sarcoma, the tumor is labeled adenosarcoma with sarcomatous overgrowth. It indicates aggressive behavior and is often associated with recurrences, distant metastases and death. This adverse prognostic indicator can be excluded only after a thorough sampling of the tumor.   return to Mixed Epithelial-Mesenchymal Tumors
