Adenocarcinoma-in-situ of Cervix

Topic: Adenocarcinoma & Related Lesions

Category: Cervix

slide 2 of 13

Comments:
High power view showing neoplastic cells lining the glandular papillae. Numerous apoptotic bodies are also seen. More than half of adenocarcinoma-in-situ cases of cervix show associated squamous CIN. Treatment is usually by cone biopsy. Many cases recur despite negative margins, so close follow-up is necessary.   return to Adenocarcinoma & Related Lesions
