Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of Bartholin's Glands

Topic: Malignant Epithelial Tumors

Category: Vulva/Vagina

slide 6 of 16

Comments:
Higher power view shows nests and sheets of relatively uniform cells with cribriform appearance. The cribriform areas contain amorphous eosinophilic basement membrane-like material. The tumor behaves aggressively with tendency to metastasize to inguinal lymph nodes. Treatment is by wide local excision or vulvectomy with bilateral inguinal lymph node dissection.   return to Malignant Epithelial Tumors
