Comments:
In ovarian endometriosis, the epithelial cells lining the cyst may sometimes show abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and atypical nuclei. In most cases, these changes are reactive in nature. However, one has to keep in mind that between 1% and 3% of cases of endometriosis show malignant transformation.
