Endometriotic cyst of the ovary showing abundant hemosiderin-laden macrophages and fresh hemorrhage in endometrial stroma. Most of the endometrial glandular lining was destroyed and only rare foci with flattened epithelium were seen. Such cases can be signed out as “Hemorrhagic cyst consistent with endometriosis.”   return to Miscellaneous Ovarian Lesions
