Comments:
Gross specimen photograph of an ovary showing multiple nodules of luteoma of pregnancy. The ovaries were found to be enlarged at the time of cesarean section. The baby was pre-term and small for gestational age but she did not show signs of masculinization. Mother was noted to have some facial hirsutism - a feature seen in about 25% of cases of pregnancy luteomas. Courtesy of Ed Uthman, MD, Houston, Texas.
