Plantar Fibromatosis

Topic: Fibromatoses

Category: Fibrous Tissue

slide 9 of 16

Comments:
Plantar fibromatosis (aka Ledderhose Disease) arises in plantar aponeurosis usually on the medial side of the plantar arch. It is indistinguishable from fibromatoses seen in other locations as seen in this image. The main differential diagnosis is fibrosarcoma - which is exceedingly rare in this location.   return to Fibromatoses
