Comments:
Most soft tissue fibromatoses arise from the muscular fascia. Given their relationship, the term musculoaponeurotic fibromatosis is preferred term over the obsolete term Desmoid tumor. The image shows infiltrative margins entrapping skeletal muscle fibers at the periphery of the lesion.
