Hodgkin Lymphoma - Nodular Sclerosis : Mediastinum

Topic: Lymphomas of the Mediastinum

Category: Mediastinum

slide 3 of 9

Comments:
Low power view of primary Hodgkin lymphoma, nodular sclerosis subtype, involving the thymus. The nodules separated by fibrous bands are reminiscent of a thymoma; however, in true thymomas, the boundary between the nodules and the fibrous bands is more sharply defined and the nodules tend to be more angulated as opposed to being more rounded (as seen here).   return to Lymphomas of the Mediastinum
