Comments:
This is a sexually-transmitted disease caused by Chlamydia trachomatis, serotypes L1, L2, and L3. The initial genital lesion heals in a few days followed by inguinal lymphadenopathy. The afflicted lymph nodes show microabscesses which may coalesce (shown here).   return to Lymphadenitides
