Comments:
High power view of a microabscess shows the necrotic center with apoptotic cells and neutrophils to the right and an infiltrate of histiocytes, lymphocytes, and rare eosinophils to the left. In addition to the microabscesses, the involved lymph nodes show follicular hyperplasia and aggregates of monocytoid B-cells in the sinuses.   return to Lymphadenitides
