Gaucher disease is a spectrum of autosomal recessive diseases resulting from mutations in gene encoding glucocerebrosidase. It is the most common lysosomal storage disorder. Glucocerebroside derived from cell membranes of ageing cells accumulates in phagocytes throughout the body and central nervous system.   return to Lipid Storage Disorders
