Comments:
The patient was a 13 y/o female who presented with thrombocytopenia and splenomegaly. Splenectomy specimen showed multiple gray-white nodules ranging in size from 0.1 to 0.5 cm scattered throughout the specimen. Low power view shows multiple granulomas with spherules of Coccidioides immitis.
