Choriocarcinoma is an uncommon testicular germ cell tumor that is usually seen as a component of mixed germ cell tumor. Many patients present with metastases to lung or brain. This image shows admixture of polygonal cells with clear cytoplasm (cytotrophoblast) and large multinucleated cells with smudged nuclear chromatin (syncytiotrophoblast).   return to Choriocarcinoma
