Yolk Sac Tumor : Hepatoid Pattern

Hepatoid pattern is seen in about 20% of yolk sac tumors, it consists of sheets and cords of polygonal cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm resembling fetal liver. A common feature of this patter is the presence of eosinophilic hyaline globules (seen in abundance in this image). Bile canaculi also may be seen in hepatoid foci.
