Comments:
Higher magnification of the previous image showing chondroblastic osteosarcoma arising in the maxilla of a 37 y/o male. Osteoid production is seen on the left; high-grade malignant cartilage makes up the rest of the field. Osteosarcomas of the jawbones have surprisingly good prognosis. Osteosarcomas of the skull have extremely poor prognosis and should not be lumped with the tumors arising in the jawbones.
