Chondrosarcoma : Myxoid stroma

Topic: Chondrosarcoma

Category: Bone Tumors - I

slide 12 of 27

Comments:
Chondrosarcomas often show myxoid change in the matrix. Instead of having a solid, unbroken appearance, the matrix may be stringy. Acelluar myxoid areas are considered to be highly suggestive of chondrosarcoma in the proper clinical setting. One should keep in mind that chondromas of small bones of hands and feet may also show myxoid change.   return to Chondrosarcoma
