Comments:
A section through enlarged epididymis showing caseous necrosis in the center surrounded by fibrosis (same case as the previous image). Most cases of tuberculous epididymo-orchitis have other areas of involvement in the genitourinary system, such as the prostate. Many patients also have renal or pulmonary tuberculosis. The symptoms and signs may be mild, consisting only of pain and enlargement of the scrotum.
