Another example of a radial scar. Ductal hyperplasia is also seen. The relationship of radial scar with ductal carcinoma is controversial. Most authors believe that at least some cases of tubular carcinoma arise from radial scars. The risk for carcinoma is increased particularly in radial scars larger than 1 cm.   return to Radial Scar
