Topic: Histology of Testes

Category: Testes

slide 8 of 11

Comments:
It consists of columnar epithelium enclosing a highly vascular fibrous core with smooth muscle cells. Invaginations of the surface may result in appearance of glandular structures in the core, as seen here. Due to its pedunculated structure, it may undergo hemorrhagic infarction – a very painful condition.   return to Histology of Testes
